So its Sunday afternoon and Im currently watching old gossip girl (circa season 1) because the last episode hasn't aired in the US yet. Totes a drag! Vintage: White Elephant Vintage Sale

So on Saturday I tried something different and headed to the lovely White Elephant Vintage Sale hosted by the wonderful Jessie from The Velvet Bow. I had a fun time looking at all the amazing goodies they had on offer! I even got the chance to pick up a lovely illustration from Megan where you can check her amazeballs website here! I truly love illustrations, I wish i possessed that kind of talent, but hey we can always believe in miracles.

I was also lucky enough to bump into S & her gorgeous sister from Le.Fanciulle to enjoy the atmosphere and find some vintage goodies! As you can see above S found some amazing cat eyed glasses! Super dooper jealous! I got a beautiful little purse with a amazing scarf which i cant wait to wear when the weather finally decides to drop!

Would just like to day that the White Elephant Vintage Crew did an amazing job this year and cannot wait for the next one! Well done lovely people! xx

Faux Wang - Colette Accessories - had this bad boy for a least a year or two now. Im not going to lie this is round two of this bag. I just love it so!

Frankie Magazine Journal - I truly love the Frankie design journal and each year it gets better and better. Beautiful artwork and design.

Makeup & Skincare Inventory & Shopping List - I buy lots of makeup for my kit and personal use so I need to keep up with it all otherwise I buy too much, so I like to write it all down.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation | Shade 30 Beige - all time favourite foundation right now, smells beautiful, velvet finish and medium coverage. I wouldn't recommend for dry skin though.

Chanel Poudre Universelle Compact | Natural Finish Pressed Powder - Chanel is known best for their powders and I now know why. My face feels so soft like a babies bum!

Urban Originals Purse - I've had this wallet for years now, the reason being is because every time I literally pull it out of my bag at the shops I always get great compliments on it so I just cant depart with it just yet. Best storage for all my cards. Discount cards that is.

Sportsgirl Gold Aviators & Minkpink cat eyed sunglasses - I swap between these two lovelies all the time depending on my mood.

Iphone 4 - this thing is attached to me majority of the time. It literally has my life on it really, sad to say but hey. FYI i'm a instagram addict. add me @amgoorie.

Un Recueil D'essais Notebook - My beautiful little notebook to jot down inspiration and ideas. Its a beautiful notebook with such smooth pages to write. I know that sounds weird but I just love how smooth it is. Kinda like holding a precious novel of time in your hands.

Mecca Lip De-Luscious SPF 25 - Best lip balm for de-highdrated lips. I loved it so much I've added it to my kit. It repairs your lips like you wont believe!

Face of Australia Lip Quench SPF 30+ - I swap around colours when it comes to these lovely lipsticks. I currently have Ice Almond, Pink Champagne & Lychee Crush. My handbag essentials right now!

Gareth Pugh Blush by MAC in Strada - Favourite shade at the moment to put on my cheeks. Will be sadly depressed when I run out. Damn you limited edition.

Covergirl Lash Blast Volume Mascara - I like this mascara because of the rubber brush. I don't really need lengthening mascara so this is good for volume and no clumping for this little dumpling.

So thats my handbag, did that blow you away with amazingness? Ha yeah I thought so. But in all seriousness I kinda love these posts, love knowing what people recommend on etc. xx

So the other day I was on a mission after work for Nespresso capsules and of course I stumbled (as always) to the MAC counter to check out the new limited edition Gareth Pugh and the Daphne Guinness Collection. If you haven't watched the Gareth Pugh video you must do below because it's such a beautiful and dark collection which is my favourite from MAC in a long time.

Im not going to lie people, i'm a little bit of a makeup snob. I don't normally buy "drugstore" brands because I feel like most most of the products are cheap and nasty. SO because of this snobbery I've decided to this year (as part of my many resolutions of 2012) find as many dupes and good quality cheaper brands when i'm out at the shops. So far i've done pretty well and I've ventured out and tried new brands and come across some lovely things which I will share with you along the way.

MAC Interior Life Eyeshadows from the Daphne Guinness Collection: Four lovely shades which can be used for everyday use. I think its a great range of colours to suit most. The colours from left to right are Stratus, Bruised Sky, Interior Life & Heather Belles.

MAC Lacquer Nail Polish in Endless Night from the Daphne Guinness Collection: My new favourite polish at the moment. A nice neutral polish with a bit of shimmer. This is actually the first time I've purchased a MAC nail polish and Im quite impressed.

MAC Gareth Pugh Blush in shade Strada: Absolutely beautiful light shade of blush, this would have to be my favourite of the purchases. The packaging is just divine and sturdy as hell the only negative is that it should be bigger, but hey thats limited edition for you! I did snag the last one from the Myer Perth Store so I was pretty ecstatic to get it before it sold out!

And now for my drugstore bargains!!

Gardiner BB Cream in Light - BB creams are the new rage right now. So i was drawn in because i wouldnt mind finding a nice new tinted moisturiser. I definitely couldn't wear this by itself, you need to have a setting powder to finish it off. Its a light coverage, but does smell lovely!

Models Prefer Professional MPP100 Foundation Airbrush: For smooth application of foundation that wont break your budget. Highly recommend for a smooth even airbrush finish for all liquid foundations.

Revlon Photoready Foundation | Shade Nude: I thought I would try this for when I don't have tan on. Its quite a nice foundation with a great airbrush finish to it (hence why great for photos). The only reason I tried it because it was on special at the time, but Its a great drugstore buy and I purchased the powder in Light/Medium 020 but I definitely prefer MAC Skinfinish in Medium for a flawless finish over the top. My main negative is that it hasn't got great staying power in humidity which is kinda a factor right now in Perth. But I would use again!

So there you have it lovelies, just a few bits & pieces today. Im pretty excited because Im typing from my new desk which I've been dying to organise for ages! Just need to find a cool new chair, which im hoping for at IKEA at some point. Its good to have a little creative corner to come home to after crappy day at work. Ah the simple things..

Perth Online Beauty Media (#POBM)

Today I have the lovely pleasure of attending Perth's first Online Beauty Media Meet-up. (or POBM as we like to call it) The wonderful girls at Wellness WA arranged an amazing event held at Djurra Day Spa in Fremantle where us girls got pampered, tried raw food for the first time and had a wonderful talk by Adele Plumridge on her amazing Naturopath knowledge!

We started the afternoon off with an amazing wonderful massage by the girls at Djurra and then a lovely tour of the salon and the services they have to offer. After the tour we had some beautiful raw food by The Raw Kitchen which was my first ever experience of the stuff and i'm not going to lie is was pretty darn tasty! You think having food that is gluten, sugar and dairy free would be a little suss but it truly was delicious!

After chatting and eating away we then got treated to a foot soak which was a real treat! My feet will be thanking me for the extra attention lately! Once we all finished we had a lovely talk with Adele and testing whether we had low zinc. I think we all got a little paranoid taking the test but it seems we are all ok! (Phew). To finish off the day we got absolutely spoilt with the most AMAZING goodie bags I have ever seen! The Wellness girls really have outdone themselves with these glorious products and I cannot wait to review them all with you!

Lastly to end the perfect afternoon we all got together to grab 3 products to test out from the giant selection we brought in. Prior to the meet up, each of us was required to bring 3 products we have either tried or never used before so we could do a beauty swap. Was a wonderful concept and we all grabbed some great products to try!

Overall I would love to thank the Wellness WA for hosting such an amazing event! Truly was a spectacular afternoon and enjoyed by all us girls.

How can I love when I'm afraid to fall.

Oh boxing day sales you get me again. But I've been very good and not spent too much this year because the crowds are way too overwhelming and quite frankly christmas sends me broke! So i just stocked up on some beauty goodies. I've been very happy with the bits & pieces I have accumulated! The FOA Lipsticks are divine and have such amazing shades [thank you Sarah for the recommendation] plus its also SPF 30+ [bonus!!]. I'm currently still making my mind up on the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner as i've heard great reviews but i'm still not sold yet. Great for drugstore brand though!

The Australis lip glosses are a beautiful variety which I can see myself using these everyday! Definitely worth the investment for under $15.00 AUD. And of course lastly, NARS... well you can never go wrong with these products so hands down worth every penny but i prefer to buy it all online because Australia really hypes up the price by like 50% which is ri-donkulous! The bronzer is wonderful for contouring and the duo shadow is not to shabby to add to the collection!

So its christmas eve and been watching old gossip girl all afternoon. Took a drive this morning to get some capsules for our new NESPRESSO machine and there wasn't even one picture of George Clooney! How rude right!? Im so excited I can have a nice coffee now on the way to work instead of buying it. So I must say housesitting has had its benefits. Better lighting in this house means i can attempt outfit posts. Was actually contemplating starting a youtube channel, but i don't think I can stand the sound of myself, so that idea is on the back burner for now. Have a Merry Christmas lovelies! Holiday Eyes

Right now I'm totally obsessed watching holiday makeup tutorials on youtube. So lately this is inspiring me to be a little more adventurous in my daily routine. Im currently house sitting at the moment so the makeup i've brought with me is a little limited but ill make do! Im trying ever so hard to embrace my natural colour (aka no tan and as pale as edward cullen - ZING twilight reference ) but its just not working for me. I love my St Tropez and lets face it. Who doesn't want to look like a golden goddess? I know I do. I wish i could pull off a beautiful pale... but its just doesn't do it for me. And every 4 out of 5 Australians have a tan ok.

And a Merry Christmas to all you wonderful people! May you stuff yourselves silly and drink way too much alcoholic beverages on the warm Australian soil. If you're across the globe and are having yourself a freezing cold christmas... I am super jelly-ous and hope you don't get frost bite!

Makeup & Skincare Haul

So i've been spending a little too much lately, yeah just at the most appropriate time of year...i know. But this haul has been over the last couple of weeks. So here is just some of the things i've bought to expand my makeup kit & personal collection.

Inglot Freedom System (Circle Palette) | Inglot are currently getting rid of the circle shadows and palettes, i really don't know why because the circle palette looks so much more professional than the square. However, this is great for me because now they are dirt cheap and must go, go, go! I snapped up some lovely neutrals and some amazing brights which I'm so very keen to try. The great thing about it all is that if you love the colours its not discontinued (hurahhh) it's just now only available for the square palette so theres no loss really. Inglot shadows i highly recommend because the quality and pigment is amazing and wont cost you an arm or a leg to purchase. Plus, theres just an incredible colour range to choose from.

MAC Prep & Prime Skin Base Visage | Im currently giving this primer a go because I wanted a nice professional primer for my kit. I currently use Inglot Skin Base at the moment because I'm using their foundations but I was keen to use this with my MAC Face & Body Foundations. If anyone has used this please comment below, would love to hear your thoughts. It does apply smoothly, but we shall see how it goes down the track.

NARS Multiple Gift Set | Well this got me slightly excited because the multiple sticks are so versatile. You can use it on your cheeks, lips, eyes... um everything! The colours are orgasm, malibu & luxor. I really wanted cococobana (i think theres too many coco's there) to be in there to be honest, but these are lovely shades to try. I love using these products on my cheeks along with my NARS blush palette which i featured in a previous post. Ill be really upset when that palette finishes because knowing NARS it will be a limited edition only.

Mario Badescu Skincare Range | Off your Face - Cleansing Wipes | Instant Nail Polish Dry by Natural Look | So not only was I searching around Mecca Cosmetica, I also decided to check out Kit Cosmetics, the sister to Mecca. I had the intention of only walking out with the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion to cure pimples (which by the way is AMAZING and works wonders!!) Mario Badescu products are American so right now the price has dropped dramatically with all their products (More than 50% off due to the AUS dollar!). I have been using the skincare products day & night and its a really beautiful product. I have normal skin but do get some redness at times, so I guess Im not a great reviewer in that sense but I would recommend seeing one of the girls are Kit because theyre really well knowledged and were incredibly helpful! I ended up buying the Healing Cream (for redness which can be applied under makeup), the night cream, Aloe Vera Toner, Enzyme Cleansing Gel and the drying lotion (for white head pimples). The cleansing wipes were apparently really great for heavy makeup so i thought i would add that to my kit. The Instant Nail Polish was recommended by my beauty guru best friend and it does work pretty well to set your lovely polishes! This product I just bought from the chemist. You can purchase it from Hairmart & all those beauty places.

MAC 116 Blush Brush | I currently have the majority of the MAC brush roll at the moment but for some reason I didn't have this one. I quite like it for blush, but I do love the 168 Large Angled Contour Brush way more because its beautiful for contouring but sadly when I did an order they were sold out. I really wanted one for my own personal use but the 116 is beautiful for powder blushes.

MAC Eye Kohl Eyeliner in Smoulder | And last but not least the wonderful Kohl Eyeliner in the shade Smoulder. I love, love, love the kohl eyeliners. They are beautiful to apply and just overall WONDERFUL. Cant really elaborate more on this one its just amazing for the makeup kit. I will get lots more later on for the kit.

Wasted Days & Wasted Nights

On Saturday night my lovely friend Stacey invited me to attend the Wasted Days & Wasted Nights Show at Wasteland to showcase some beautiful brands like Acne, Marc Jacobs, Lover & Romance was Born just to name a few. The event was held in Wolfe Lane which had a awesome back alley party setup where the DJ's did their thing and the cocktails were just amazing (I was in heaven because they used lychees & they're my absolute favourite!)

Overall, it was an amazing atmosphere and really fun to watch. The Chadwick Models put on an exceptional show, especially the guys pulling there awesome moves along the catwalk to really give us a show.

I know I have my eye on a few pieces for my next purchases.... maybe after Christmas.

Make Believe - dream a little dream.

I'm not to sure about anyone else, but i tend to always grab a copy of sportsgirls wonderful lookbooks and brochures every time I'm in store. I find the latest one really breathtaking and the current one is all about the dreamer and fantasy. Instantly i was hooked so I just had to share it with you.

Sportsgirl have contacted me about their BELIEVE campaign and to be apart of their lovely little questionnaire so here it goes..

As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
I don't know about you, but when I was little I always had my head in the clouds (well nothings changed really) and wanted to grow up to be many things. Could never really decide on one thing I really wanted to be because I have such an indecisive nature. But I always wanted to do something creative and that's never really changed with me.

Did you make this dream come true or change your mind?
Today, my job is far from creative and I hope that one day that will change because you spend most of your life at work and you should really enjoy doing what you do. Sportgirl have captured the free spirit of life and I love how its shown through this campaign. Gives us hope to follow our dreams.

What is your fave childhood memory?
One of my favourite childhood memories has definitely got to be wandering through the huge trees and plantation up near our family holiday home by the river. It had so many hiding spots and you could keep yourself occupied in the gigantic trees all day long then run to the river for a swim. It was so magical wandering through all the trees and overgrown flowers, reminds me of the movie the secret garden.

The biggest dream you have right now?

Right now my dream is to get within the makeup industry. I would love be creative everyday, It truly makes me happy making people feel their ultimate beautiful self and that is a dream come true to me. I must admit, this blog keeps me going because I can share my thoughts, inspiration and my little world in my own creative way. I honestly don't care about followers, giveaways & all that jazz, I just like to think of my blog as a scrapbook of ideas and a way of networking with wonderful people who share the same interests. I've met some wonderful people starting this blog and its been the best creative outlet for me especially some perth bloggers for example heart & bleecker, blonde suburbia, peanut moonbeam knickers, bonnie friday and the velvet bow.

Oh Mecca, you will be the the financial death of me. I do love you so, but you hurt my bank account but make my makeup kit so happy with joy!

NARS Blush Palette | my newest best friend/lover. I have been going over and over on which blushes to try first and then BAM out comes a palette. I just love it so. The colours are hungry heart duo II, Casino, Orgasm, Super Orgasm, Desire & Sin.

MECCA Polishes | You make my heart sing, polished perfection set. Its a wonderful collection of mini favourite polishes of the MECCA range. I quite love the wonderful variety of colours.

T2 | Well the new T2 store opened in the City recently and I couldn't help but spend a good amount of time taste testing and smelling all the beautiful tea ranges. I ended up buying some great ones to make iced tea with for when it gets hotter. Currently trying White Xmas, Turkish Apple Chunky & Very Berry Fruit Tea.

If i had more time on my hands, i could sit for hours in my favourite coffee shops with laptop on hand, headphones on and catch up more on the world. I struggle with the corporate 8-5pm job. Its not my thing in all honestly. I need creativity. I crave it and desire it all the time.

Career change? Well. that would be lovely but theres this thing called money which scares me to my core as bills need to paid. One day Ill have all the answers i crave. Until then, theres always my dreams of bigger & greater things. x

For the first time in many years my hair is curly which is a nice change as my hair being quite thick its difficult to achieve curly goodness in my own downtime.

Today is a lovely warm day in sunny Perth, though the sun seems to be playing games with the clouds and the wind is stronger than ever.

My biggest love at the moment; dinner & lunch parties with the use of jars as glasses and fairy light decorations. Is it sad i only want to move out of home to just host dinner and lunch parties? I just love the record player picture above as well. It reminds me of my lovely partner and his passionate love of music.

I've been very inspired the last few days, I wish I had more time in my life to spend endless days being creative, draw and listen to inspiring music. x

Hello my lovelies, here are some photos from my adventures through IMATS on Saturday. I spent the day absorbing as much tips from the pro's and buying an incredible amount of products and tools I could get my hands on. I was lucky enough to have a one on one with one of the MAC Pro artists on Friday and basically sort out my makeup kit, so IMATS was more of an informative session on starting out and stocking up. If your a makeup artist or just an avid fan of makeup & body art this is definently an event that cannot be missed. x

Today i ended up heading to the MAC Cosmetics Pro Shop in Paddington where i got to liaise with the wonderful make up artist Rachel in setting up my basic kit. Tomorrow is IMATS and i've already spent so much already i'm scared what tomorrow will bring, my main focus is my train case and i'm sure ill be going with the Tas Merah Synthetic Leather Makeup-up Case TM-1-6 perfect for on the go.

Above is some of my haul of mac cosmetics. I basically bought everything i couldn't get my hands on in Perth. I've signed up for the MAC Pro membership to allow me discount for freelance work which really helped me on this occasion. I was basically shaking when it came to the total of how much everything cost me, but its an investment and I know that it will pay off.

I hope all the wonderful Perth Bloggers are having a fabulous time back home enjoying the Perth Fashion Festival! I wish i was with you all enjoying the atmosphere. Kinda bummed I missed out on the Nikon Workshop that was hosted by Perth Fashion Festival today that i was suppose to go to, though Sydney has been pretty amazing! x

So i've been at it again, spending way to much time at the MAC counter and chatting endlessly to the girls getting some pro tips about freelancing and working for MAC. I got a little excited/giddy when my cousin advised me that her best friends work for Estee Lauder & MAC in Sydney and nearly had a heart attack. Im clearly in the wrong state to further what could possibly be a future for me.

Two days to go till i hit Sydney and I can finally see my other family and beautiful little god daughter. Will be hitting up the big MAC stores and hopefully check out the new Westfield. Zara here i come!! Oh Perth, you really need to lift your game when it comes to retail stores, but i still love you.

So above are some of my new goodies, the new limited edition eye palette named evil eye is perfect for a dramatic eye and many variations. Now, If you don't own one of the MAC paint pots then you should be sitting in the corner you little rascal as they are the perfect primer for eye shadows. Keeps that wonderful colour long lasting for those nights you just want to dance the night away. Like c'mon, every girl wants to look fabulous at even 2am. And of course the wonderful brow pencil.. defining those brows for an extra something. I don't think i really need to elaborate on that one.

OH! Frankie 2012 Diary. Enough said. I pre-ordered mine this year because i was a little paranoid on missing out. Its even better than last year, so many little gems within and secret compartments. I don't normally buy Vogue a lot, but the October issue makes me want to jump for joy, its got great fashion inspiration and beauty ideas this month. Worth the read for sure!

Tonight I had an amazing time at Mecca Cosmetics getting some useful one on one advice on the NARS products range. Got the pleasure of meeting Magda Ogbe one of the NARS Makeup Stylist's from New York and the lovely Aussie girls working their magic.

The girls loved my big lips, so we decided to be really bold and attempt the Schiap shade. Its quite a bold barbie pink shade which is a really fun transition to spring/summer. Also diggin' the shade Heat Wave & Dragon Girl if i'm keen for a orange or red kind of lip.

Was a great night being surrounded by people who are just as excited about make-up as I am. Ill definitely be going crazy buying lots of goodies online once i return from Sydney!

Yeah my iphone is attached to me like a third arm. It's my portal to all things worldwide (aka angry birds & a shit load of fruit ninja - I joke..sorta). I really hate leaving the house without polish on my fingers, just doesn't feel right.

Spent a lovely sunday afternoon with fellow perth bloggers L, Chow, Jessie & Bonnie. We chatted, laughed & of course discussed about the wonderful adventure Bonnie is going on to New York Fashion Week! If you ever find us all out in public, we are the only people that carry more cameras then a group of asian tourists. Its a great fun really.

Im absolutely in love with my new wittner boots they are the comfiest staple boot, ever. I'll definitely be wearing these babies everywhere. Its just the right heel for daytime & night time. Perfect for when i go to Sydney which i'm counting down the days till.

Anyway, i'm off lovelies as my hands are shaking typing this post as i've had one hell of personal training session tonight. Oh the benefits of trying to get fit.

Im currently counting down the days until im in Sydney and attending the "comic con" of make up conventions IMATS (International Make Up Artist Trade Show). I've been looking over the schedule for the Saturday and realised ill have to be there all day in order to see all the great artists sharing some exceptional knowledge & trade secrets. Im a little worried that my credit card will suffer immensely as everything is going to be extremely cheap. Hopefully they will allow photo taking so i can post about this amazing international event, we shall see how it all goes really.

So above it a little bit of my kit, it needs a lot of work and to be honest i need another case as one is not enough to carry around my basic stuff. I've been contemplating getting back in the game doing freelance again, but my kit needs lots of work and trying to find which foundations & power products i'm going to settle with is a painful decision. I think after Sydney i will be able to decide if i really want to pursue it all again.

Lets see where this adventure will lead.. x

With the help of my new lovely lens, i have been able to capture the things i find beautiful. Above are some of my semi recent purchases over the last couple of weeks. I've been infatuated with beautiful statement necklaces at the moment because i find they can really make an outfit. Since I'm a cool undertone* kind of girl, i have to tan myself up in order to wear these beautiful pieces. Oh the price of trying to match!

I ended up buying a new bag that can fit everything but the kitchen sink in. I usually carry around my camera, lots of make up, along with numerous bits and pieces and i really needed something that will suffice so i bought the wang-copy in tan from colette accessories. It should do the job for now.

So, the other day i jumped for joy when i received a lovely thank you letter in my mailbox from the delightful miss Bonnie Friday! If you don't already know, the lovely Bonnie was picked to head to NY FASHION WEEK to blog about the whole event. Its so amazing knowing that a fellow perth blogger is heading out to New York on an amazing adventure. Celebratory drinks are defiantly in order!

The other day i decided to head to Mecca with my lovely friend jess (who is just as makeup obsessed as me) to check out the new products out at the moment. Really loving this perfume i got, its a beautiful light fragrance that is not overpowering but just divine.

Its one on one appointments and they go through all their lovely NAR's products. I clearly jumped to that idea, plus you get to claim the $50.00 on product in the end! #winning

Sadly, my poor white macbook died the other week and i was a quite depressed as i pretty much spend 70% of my time on there. I find its my portal to all my inspiration and without it... i feel quite depressed. Sad i know, but its in my nature to be creative and without it i spiral into a world of dullness. Anyway on a happy note, i ended up going with the macbook pro 13inch 2011 edition.. weeeee! I quite love it. But i wish they didn't discontinue all white macbooks because i love all things white.

Im a real big fan of all this cosmic stuff coming out at the moment, i find it really magical, so a couple of weeks ago i bought some Orly Cosmic Nailpolish online and im in love, love, love. As soon as i bought it i realised Chanel bought out something similar which im kicking myself about. But at the end of the day the orly polish is like 5 times cheaper and does the job pretty amazingly.

The above colour is in Space Cadet and i got another one called out of this world. If your into all that awesome shit like i am, check it out.. you wont be disappointed.

Pretty much in love with the whole Glam Underground selection from Topshop at the moment. A bit of rock star seventies glam vibe and I know i have many of the above things in my "To buy, but know i shouldn't because i really cant afford it list". My poor credit card needs to be fed so i think new purchases will just have to be on the back burner for a while.

Had a lovely afternoon with L today! I didn't do an outfit post because i don't think my work attire is will ever make the cut. These pic's are from the other day. But! I did have the pleasure of trying to get shots of L riding a bike and some outfit pictures! I think we did just in time because about twenty minutes later it started to poor with rain. I love the rain & thunder.
I did get some lovely one teaspoon goodies today which i will share soon when i get some natural light...and yes i realize you can see the camera remote and underwear lining in the first photo, but hey! ~~shit~~ happens! And i don't follow the rules..

Received a little care package in the mail today which is always good when your off sick from work! Now i have always loved the beautiful YSL ring that goes around the bloggersphere like crazy but i thought to myself, I'm not the one to buy expensive jewelry because i usually get bored easily and move onto the next trend. The only piece of expensive jewelry I own is my Tiffany and co bracelet which is a timeless classic.

I just wish at times i had a money tree, things would be so much easier really. Don't cha think?

The last month or so i have felt incredibly lost and lacking creativity and ideas. I decided to get a large white foam board from lincraft on Saturday and create a bigger and better collage for all inspiration. So far, this is what i have to show. I need to buy some more fashion magazines to really set this baby alive! I just hope it doesn't collapse from the wall... ha! The new issue of Frankie magazine included a calender/map of the world so I've pinned all the places in the world for my next adventures hopefully in the near future.

We love to gather in the night and talk about life's journeys. Sometimes all us girls cant always be together at once, but we try our best to catch up whenever we can. Caffisimo have this tea called blooming tea, which i absolutely love! Basically, its a seed that blooms into a beautiful flower in boiling water and the one i had is best served with honey for that sweet taste. We could of honestly stayed there for hours, the lovely owner handed us blankets so we could keep warm while we giggled through the night.

Today ive been in a very odd mood, i came home from work (my second week in my new job role) and i was like, damn you wardrobe.. your over stuffed and outdated! So i literally attacked my wardrobe and threw out at least three garbage bags of stuff i dont wear anymore. Its quite sad really, because i only did the same thing a few months back which clearly means i buy way too much stuff! Ive bought quite a few bits and pieces lately (mostly knitwear) and they needed to be hanged properly and be fully loved, instead of making a floordrobe.

On another note, about two years i completed my Certificate II in Makeup at Perth Beauty College and looking back at my portfolio today really brought back great memories. I think i might attack my savings and enrol for the Certificate in Makeup with Napoleon Perdis in Subiaco. Its a brand i love and have full knowledge of all their products, i think it was meant to be!

It is pretty chilly here in Perth, finally winter has come upon us and its a long weekened for the WA folk! I finally got around to getting a RC remote and my lord does it make photos so much easier to take! Best little investment ever! Quite a while ago, I got this bat wing poncho knit thing from topshop and I'm still undecided if i like it. I should have returned it really but oh well i cant say no to topshop. Last night I had an amazing time for yet another 21st Birthday, it was a great old fun time at the casino and winning a bit of mulla ($$!). Tonight, I'm going for round two with one of my best mates 21sts, its been a while since someones organized a house party, so cant wait to see how it all goes.

Since today i have been off sick from work, i thought i would use the good light in the morning to my advantage. I love these new wedges i got from wittner. Okay, i have a wedge addiction. I bought these babies today and i think it was meant to be, purely because the girl said they just go them in today and people have been calling crazy wanting these. I don't think there's anything better then and extra long weekend. Life seems to be all about work for me at the moment and no real time to play. I think its time to plan a holiday really. Yesterday i did a solo road trip up to Moore River to see my family and spend Easter with them. Made me laugh that Mr Whippy the ice cream man comes around every day, so my auntie and waited on the verge till he came. It was worth the wait.

Lately I've had no inspiration coming to me. Unfortunately I'm filling this void with buying clothes and its not doing my bank account any favors. It's not like I can really wear any of my new clothes due to Perth still thinking its summer still. Ive probably mentioned this every season, but i frigin LOVE minkpink. Its affordable, comfortable and just darn right sexy. I literally buy something from them every season. Its kind of an addiction of mine. Ive been trying to accumulate lots of dark purple, reds, burnt oranges, dark blues, khaki, maroon, camel, tan & of course black (because that never goes out of fashion) into my wardrobe. Animal print is something else im so excited to see coming back. Its really fustrating in Perth at the moment because the heat wont leave. Right now these items are just sitting in my wardrobe waiting and currently coming on their way from Topshop (ooooh yeah). So im kinda sad right now because im sick of my summer wardrobe... [ I know you Perth Bloggers feel my pain right now].

Sheer baby, nothing but sheer I say!

Yeah right now I'm into everything sheer. I like to drape it over everything and it never seems to fail. From Kimonos to Shirts, I think im addicted. But i guess fashion is an addictive drug isn't it? I'm not the biggest fan of Supre and i know many girls will agree with me its a teeny bopper smorgasbord hell, but sometimes amongst the "Team Edward" shirts there is some lovely basics which are pretty awesome.

One of the things I have a very large obsession for is Fashion Illustration. I think it is one of the most beautifulist forms of art. I love how some are so dainty and basic and yet others are compelled with so much detail it could jump off the page. I wish i could create such art, but i really think much practise is in order. Below are some pieces which is just so lovely i had to share. These two images i cannot for the life of me find who on Etsy created these as i saved them a while ago on on my computer, but i just think they are divine! Well today is my 21st Birthday. This weekend will be spent hanging with my favourite family from Sydney and enjoying the company of my beautiful little god daughter. Perth has a great long weekend coming up which is just even better for birthday celebrations. Ive been very spoilt so far and i cannot wait to enjoy every extra day off possible.

Thanks to the lovely Jessie from The Velvet Bow & Jacqui from Don't you know April Rose we all got to meet, eat & take way to many photos. Was lovely to meet you girls and i cannot wait for the next one!

Today i went down on my lunch break to this intriguing little shop called DISTRACTED on Oxford Street in Leederville. I've been working in Leederville for years and was always driving past wondering what on earth this little shop was all about. It wasn't until i was on the Frankie website that i realized these guys stocked Frankie products and thought, wow there has to be things in here I'm going to like. So today i was like that's it I'm going down there! I walked in and my oh my was I in love! It has beautiful nick nacks, loads of Diana cameras, fisheye cameras and lots of vintage inspired pieces which are just amazing. Below are a few of the snaps of the things i ended up walking out with. This place is everything i would love to run and own one day. A coffee shop, a hairdresser, a lady doing waxing, collections of vintage inspired pieces and home deco goodies and nick nacks.

My dream is to one day own my own little shop, i just hope that it can be near as amazing as this little place. I ended up getting some "treats" paper bags which have given me the inspiration to start cooking some frankie recipes hopefully this weekend! I'm also a big Astrology nut, so i got this little Book of the Zodiac which is very interesting. Overall i was over whelmed by all the little lovely things this place has to offer, If your in Perth its worth the check out if you haven't already!

P.s These guys stock the biggest jar of candy love hearts and for $2 i just couldn't resist!

Gosh, i love everything about Beaufort Street! The culture, the shopping & course the coffee & food. My best friend Daniela (the lovely lady below) and I love to come down here for a late night coffee and gossip. I would love to move to this area one day and I'm glad my man agrees with moving here eventually. Its perfect for the music and the fashion scene so its a happy win win for both of us. One of my favourite things to do after a coffee is head down to planet video to check out the fashion selection of the book store. My coffee stand book collection is getting quite ridiculous now, i really have to stop buying!

MANIKINN GRAND OPENING!

Hello all, the lovely Jes from Harlequins Party has given us the heads up of the wonderful grand opening of their MANIKINN Perth store and i would love to share all the details for all you Perth readers!

It all starts at 10am and on arrival there will be champagne, chocolates & wonderful cupcakes to share and of course the fantastic clothing in store! I have seen some samples and they're amazing!

To me, the best start to Australia Day is vegemite on toast. Technically it should be the only way, otherwise thats just plain un-australian. Though Vegemite isn't always every body's cup of tea.

My lovely day was spent hanging with the cool kids by the pool, cooking up a BBQ with lots of VB and even lamb smiths chips which surprisingly tasted exactly like a Sunday roast! We bbq'd, i drunk far too much and us girls chilled at the park while the boys went down to the batting cages to perfect their cricketing skills. Overall, its one of the best public holidays of the year, its the perfect time to be thankful you live in an amazing country!

I kinda cheated with this outfit post, i didn't wear this today but i just haven't had the time to post. Today my best friend Daniela and I headed to the Fremantle markets today. I got to admit, this was brought on by the lovely Kim at Blonde Suburbia and i was keen to get into the market spirit and see what i could find.. thanks Kim! I got very excited when i saw the crystals stall, as did Daniela. We needed some extra luck on our side for 2011 so we thought we would get some positive energy and something calming. Hopefully it works!

I finally recieved my copy of style diaries in the mail and my god i love it! Its a great bible of some amazing blogs all over the world, i recommend it to any blogger out there. I laughed my head off when i saw the notebook journal above that said fuck your blog. Inside, its like one side for writing your post and the next page is blank for pictures. Its such a great doodle journal, i cant wait to use it properly. I kinda went nuts at typo and also got the letters for dreamer to put on my wall, i cant wait to put it on my wall properly.

Finally, Id like to say a big thank you to all my lovely readers new and old. Lately i have seemed to have doubled my readers and comments and i couldn't be more touched for all the lovely comments. I do check everyone's blog and try to comment back to everyone. If it makes it easier, follow me on twitter here also if you want to ask me questions or what not.

Southbound 2011

So this new years instead of just the big new years eve shenanigans, i spent mine having a snooze to wake up 4am to head down to Busselton, WA for Southbound music festival.

Now, i thought that the weather was going to be 35 degress maximum, which i thought... okay that will be a little hot but i can bare that... It turned out it hit over 40 degrees this weekend which wasnt exactly the greatest when your camping in the middle of a paddock and not a tree in sight. Oh yes it was unbareably humid, but it was all so worth it!

The main bands i wanted to see were Angus & Julia Stone, The Living End, Children Collide and Joan Jett & The Black Hearts and my god they were all amazing! Overall, all the different acts were amazing, despite myself whinging all weekend to the boy how hot it was, but i did thoroughly enjoy the weekend!

I ended up getting a Joan Jett Band T-shirt which i LOVE! I'm going to rip it up a little to make it more awesome, plus we got given southbound headbands which came in handy i must say! Ill be wearing that again! I did get some other bits and pieces but i will show that stuff in later posts.

Southbound 2011 was all about the green peace this year, so they had a huge collection of cans shaped as a SB which was pretty cool, it finally got full on the last night which you can see above and it lit up at night.

I didn't take as many photos as i would have liked, purely because it was so hot i just couldn't be bothered and just wanted to chill out and watch the sets. During the day we headed down to Dome for breakfasts and down to the beach for a good swim. If we weren't there, we were back at the tent playing a cool new card game my mates taught me called SPIT. Its a pretty addictive and its good for wasting time.

Can you tell im loving my new DSLR? I just cant put it down! I love new toys!

Well, I'm nearly finished packing for my trip down to Southbound and ive been trying to make sure i have an outfit aside for everyday. All i need now is accessories to match and I'm good to go! Unfortunately, i just have to endure another day of work before i can really get excited for my extra long weekend. (I hate work.. grr)

The first few pictures are my first purchases from Etsy ever! I have a great love for polaroid photography and i just couldn't resist getting a picture that's unique for my bedroom. I bought this lovely picture from Azzari Jarret from Gabrielle Kai Photography, you can check the store here or blog here.

Above you will probably notice a lovely canvas i recently got for Christmas from my best friend Daniela. Its so beautiful! It has such delicate colours and contrast to it. TYPO just opened in Perth and MY LORD were we blown away by all the cool retro stationary and cool knick knacks! The best part is that its so damn cheap! EEEK ill be back there soon and that canvas was only $30.00!!

God, i love a good bargin!

Today i returned to work and my god it dragged something ridiculous! I'm so ready to just head to southbound already its driving me insane. How can you work when you have an amazing weekend and new years planned!? I just want to soak up the sunshine and photograph the entire atmosphere when i get down there. Sometimes i wish i could just have a job to photograph purely someones life's and greatest moments. Ah, we can all dream cant we?

So, obviously i hit the shops after Christmas... well to be honest i had vouchers to kill so i don't feel as guilty. Well who could resist Clog shoes from $150.00 to $60.00? (I mean c'mon). The only problem is that Im already 5'10 already in height so having those shoes clears me into the 6 foot range so it doesn't help when i have vertically challenged friends, thank god my man is taller than me though!

PLEASE NOTE: I DO LOVE LITTLE PEOPLE, MOST OF THE GREATEST PEOPLE I KNOW AND MY BEST FRIENDS ARE FUN SIZE! (just in case someone doesn't like my vertically challenged comment....heh.)

And of course lastly I've been having a mulberry alexia craze. Now i obviously cant afford the real deal, so i thought i would buy something similar and much, much cheaper. So that is my result and i love it!

Finally I want to say I was blown away by the lovely comments on my first outfit post, thank you girls!!! Your all so wonderful! I cant wait to take some great pictures of Perth and all over in the New Year, this coming year is my year to really drive my passion!

Okay, here is my first official outfit post on my new dslr and my god do i have a lot to learn. I'm pretty disappointed my first one turned out a bit blurry but i just couldn't get it right, but hey I'm a newbie ill learn eventually. Today is still quite hot outside, but im going to head to the shops and spend some vouchers i got for christmas. I really need to get myself organized for Southbound on Saturday, need to get lots of wet wipes and supplies in order to survive the heat fest.

Wow, christmas day was pretty hot but the beach was absolutely beautiful! Ive been trying to snap away with my new Canon 500d and i think my man is sick of having the camera in his face all weekend!

Today was spent hanging with the guys round the pool (watching them be dudes) and in the afternoon hanging with my girls in the spa drinking cocktails. Right now, I'm getting my jersey shore fix and chilling on the couch. So glad i have the next two days to just do whatever until i go back to work.

I tell you what, Perth in Australia right now is so humid its sad. It really doesn't feel like christmas at all here. Though, when you head to the shops you know its that time of year. You fight for a car bay at the shopping centre and you hear nothing but christmas carols on repeat. I do love christmas, but after seeing so many blogs do outfit posts in the snow and seeing all that white goodness, it makes we wish i could just have one christmas were i could rug up instead of sitting in front on the air con.

Ive been very inspired and creative lately, and i hope that amount of energy lasts. Each day i seem to be wanting to do more and more photography and Im constantly looking at good DSLRs. I think at the end of the day i will be going to go with the Canon 550d. Purely because I'm so used to Canon and my last two digital cameras have both been Canon and produced wonderful photographs. My dad has let me take over his old Nikon film SLR camera, so i cant wait to get that fixed and experiment with real film photography.

Right now my bedroom is a blank white canvas (literally) waiting to be hung with art and things inspiring. My room being this way is driving me nuts, so my first addition to its make over is this beautiful owl. I also decided to do a new collection of images to inspire me on my pin up board which you can see in my header. With the help of my old frankie magazines it really does the trick!

After endless weeks of waiting for my Instant Fugi Polaroid camera it finally came in the mail yesterday and its perfect!! Its even clubbing proof as you can see from above. Its the perfect size for photographs because the photos come out no bigger than the size of your credit card! I love how the photos appear in an instant and are clear as day and the film is cheap as chips!!! Money well spend really.

Its one of my girls birthdays today, so we all decided to head out to Leederville for a night out with the girls last night. The Leederville have brought out the glorious slushie cocktail machines and that couldn't be more of a blessing in disguise.

I'm a sucker for cocktails..

Ha, please excuse my chipped nail polish and my slack quality photography. I'm dying to get a new DSLR soon, but i have to pay off a few other things before i can bite the bullet. Got some beauties while on Beaufort Street today, which mind you was 39 degrees today (not fun!). Summer is pretty much here, we can all feel it in Perth. I don't take to kind to that extreme humidity, i find it very uncomfortable and it makes me crave ice tea too much.

I find that Monday nights is one of my favorite nights of the week to just mellow out and catch up on things i truly love.

Its one of those kind of nights i can listen to Angus & Julia Stone and just ponder with my thoughts and endless supply of fashion books and magazines. I've bought way to many books lately, but i don't regret any of them. Ive accumulated quite a few Lauren Conrad books, which are amazing to read as well as a great look book by Nina Garcia from Marie Claire.Worth the check out if you haven't already!

I don't know about you girls, but i prefer to write everything down in a little diary to keep me in tune with the world. I invested in the Perfect new Journal for 2011 from Frankie Magazine which i cant wait to start using. A small diary is apart of my hand bag must have's as well as a moleskin to doodle any ideas i get along my day to day life.

I have a big passion for Fashion Illustrations {oh how i adore you so}. I wish i could draw as amazing as some artists Ive come across and the books i have been reading. Its such a beautiful talent. I envy people that can draw such life like drawings. I wish i took it up at a younger age and really explored the field! I guess there's no harm trying now is there?

A few months ago i invested in a Polaroid Camera but unfortunately it doesn't seem to perform the way i would have liked it too. The pictures barely come out at all and it doesn't matter what light exposure i have. I am using the new colour PX film and yet i still get a terrible result. So due to this i am currently waiting on my new FUGI INSTAX to come in the mail with a 100 bits of film!OH THE EXCITEMENT!! I want to hopefully soon invest in a Mini Diana too soon at some stage because my friend Tamara took some beautiful photos with hers lately and i cant help but want to invest in one!

As you can plainly tell i havent been very kind to my poor credit card lately, but in the new year im going to shape up and not spend,spend,spend!

we shall see how long that lasts!

What lovely weather Perth is having today! Its reached about 27 degrees and its beautiful enough for even the beach. But instead, i went to Shoe Show and got me a pair of these baby's! I thought they were decently priced so i was like...you know what.. you will be mine and i will wear you good! I did originally go on a mission there to find myself combat boots, but i thought these were more appropriate for this season!

On Friday night, my lovely best friends and I went to Hillary's for coffee and San churros because its our time to catch up with goss and talk shit really. Hillary's is finally selling that pop ice-cream and it is delicious as you can see from above. He he!

I'm barely doing outfit posts these days, so i thought today was the day to do so. With all the new things I've bought lately I've been quite lazy in postings things. But next week I'm on holidays!!! So ill try and come up with some interesting images along the way.
